Located in an area often called Portugal's Jurassic Park, Lourinhã Dinosaur Park is home to one of Europe's richest dinosaur fossil collections. The museum displays important dinosaur specimens, including rare Lourinhanosaurus and Lusotitan eggs found in the region. Visitors can explore both scientific exhibits and walk among life-sized dinosaur models, making it both educational and entertaining for all ages.

Buddha Eden
Created by José Berardo in response to the Taliban's destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas, Buddha Eden is Europe's largest Oriental garden. Spanning 35 hectares, it features hundreds of Buddha statues, terracotta warriors, pagodas, and contemporary sculptures. The garden also includes an African art collection and extensive landscaping.

This shell-shaped bay is one of Portugal's most sheltered natural harbours, creating perfect conditions for families with children. The calm, warm waters and 3km-long crescent beach are protected by natural headlands. The historic fishing village retains its traditional Portuguese character.

Caldas da Rainha
Founded in the 15th century as a thermal spa town by Queen Leonor, Caldas da Rainha remains famous for its sulphur springs and hospital. The city is renowned for its daily fresh produce market and distinctive pottery, particularly the cabbage-leaf ceramics and provocative figurines designed by Bordallo Pinheiro.

Famous for its massive waves at Praia do Norte, where surfers tackle world-record heights of up to 30 meters, Nazaré blends its traditional fishing heritage with modern surf culture. The town's wide golden beach and seafront restaurants attract visitors year-round, while its cliffside viewpoint offers spectacular views of the powerful Atlantic waves.

These inland salt pans have been operating since the 12th century using a natural underground saltwater spring. The site features traditional wooden structures and consists of over 470 tanks where salt is still harvested using ancient methods. The salt produced here is considered among Portugal's finest.

This UNESCO World Heritage site, founded in 1153, is Portugal's first completely Gothic building. The monastery houses the ornate tombs of Pedro I and Inês de Castro, telling Portugal's most famous love story. Its medieval kitchen, with a stream diverted through it, is architectural marvel.
